I read with interest and pleasure Tom Siegried`s article on Isaac Newton. In it, a great effort is made to convince the reader that Newton`s ”Principia Mathematica” is the most important book every written on science. Perhaps so, but there is another book that I feel at the least shares this niche

–Euclid`s ”Elements.”

I offer as proof that the ”Principia” and every other bit of science writing aside from Einstein`s relativity uses Euclidean geometry as its physical model of space.
