A lone bank robber who police believe has committed three other robberies at city savings and loan associations struck Monday at Citicorp Savings and Loan Association, 445 N. Michigan Ave., according to Sgt. Thomas Finnin of the Belmont Area violent crimes unit. Finnin said police believe the robber is the same person who struck at the Uptown Federal Savings and Loan on May 15, Talman Federal Savings and Loan on the July 6 and another Citicorp branch, at 7 S. Dearborn St., on July 13. Finnin said the robber walked up to a Citicorp teller at 12:50 p.m. and handed her a note which read, ”Give me all your money in your register and don`t put any exploding money in.” The teller put into the man`s black vinyl bag $1,150 and a bundle of money wired to explode and spread an indelible dye on the robber. The man looked in the back, took out the exploding packet, put it on the counter and walked out into lunchtime crowds.
