I want to take exception to the resentment to ”monstrous” billboards
”desecrating” the highways.
I`ve been driving the nation`s highways for over 50 years, and I find billboards informative. As a tourist, I find it helpful to know how far to the next good restaurant, gas station or motel of my choice, interesting tourist attractions, service stations and auto dealers able to service my car if necessary and other services important to the traveler. A simple sign
”Phone, Food, Lodging, Gas” near the exit is meaningless.
