Services were pending for Samuel Mandel, 90, of Chicago, a real estate investor who died Aug. 15 in Bernard Mitchell Hospital at the University of Chicago. He was a benefactor of the Spertus College of Judaica, 618 S. Michigan Ave., and the campus was named for Mr. Mandel and his late wife, Elsie. There are no survivors.
