I`m with Les Aspin, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, who suggested mining Iran`s waters if it persists in mining international open seas in the hope of crippling and sinking American escort ships. The Iranians are indeed getting away with murder in this one-sided war.

Sending American men, machines and ships into battle conditions with orders to ”fight if you must but don`t try to win” did not work in Korea, or the Bay of Pigs or Vietnam, and it is not going to work in the Persian Gulf.

Russia is grinning at our no-win situation and sitting back with the eager anticipation of further diplomatic and economic gains at our expense, all without the loss of a man or ship.
