Pace, the Regional Transportation Authority`s suburban bus subsidiary, has approved creation of the agency`s first-ever park-and-ride route. Dubbed the I-55 Flyer, the route will have one stop at Romeoville and one at Bolingbrook before running express on Int. Hwy. 55, the Stevenson Expressway, to Chicago`s Loop. Free parking will be provided at the Romeoville Center Plaza shopping mall, at Ill. Hwy. 53 and Romeoville Road, and at Bolingbrook Commons shopping center, at Ill. 53 and I-55. Four runs to the Loop will be made during both the morning and evening rush hour. The evening runs will begin at Monroe Street and Wabash Avenue. The one-way fare will be $2.50.
