Jack C. Terrazas may feel free to cast his own vote for Judge Bork (”A Hispanic vote for Judge Bork”), but for Terrazas to suggest that ”Hispanic leaders” are favorable to Bork`s appointment is ludicrous.
Who are these alleged Hispanic leaders? Terrazas does not say. Furthermore, to imply that Hispanics are somehow born and bred with a ”true moral and conservative spirit” is a notion too silly to be taken seriously.
As a Hispanic woman and a progressive, I am vehemently opposed to Judge Bork`s appointment. Therefore, The Tribune can call the ”Hispanic vote” a tie.
