A recent editorial correctly points out that the State Department ”is supposed to adopt policies because they make sense and are in the best interest of this country, not because they win applause.” Does The Chicago Tribune behave differently in regard to the Palestinian Liberation

Organization?

Recently The Chicago Tribune published the plea of the Zionist to the Pope, but did not publish a response.

Some of the Jewish people who have experienced persecution and its dehumanization are energetically forging a Jewish state that expatriates the Palestinians. Other Palestinians subsist in Israel realizing that with the re-establishment of the Jewish state, a social milieu has coalesced where they are not trusted, but detested citizens.

Since the Vatican has addressed the question of Palestinian human rights- an issue that other Western governments skirt-would Vatican recognition of the State of Israel be interpreted as condoning the current treatment of the Palestinians?
