Sending holiday cards can be a double pleasure when the cards support a worthy cause. Recently the Style section listed a few of the organizations selling cards this year. Here is an additional list.

The Chicago Hunger Campaign offers a blue card that depicts white snowflakes falling onto a row of silver and white trees. The greeting consists of verses by a Chinese poet. A box of 25 cards is $15, plus $1.50 shipping fee. Call 855-1313.

One of two cards sold by Urban Gateways, a center that provides art activities in 750 Chicago area schools, features a child`s view of holiday activities, in purple, red and white. The other is a colorful abstract still life. Both are designed by children served by the program. The greeting is

”Best Wishes to You during This Holiday Season.” A box of 20 cards is $14. Call 922-0440.

St. Coletta`s Kennedy School, Palos Park, offers four silk-screened and two printed cards. Two of the silk-screened cards and the printed cards were designed by handicapped students in the school. The others were designed by professional artists. Silk-screened cards are $5 for a package of 10. The printed cards are $4 for 10. Proceeds go to the school, its residence and job training center. The Lambs in Libertyville will offer 18 card designs for sale during its Holiday Art, Craft and Antiques Show and Sale Dec. 3-6 in the O`Hare Expo Center, River Road, one block south of the Kennedy Expressway. (I-190), Rosemont. The cards are hand-silkscreened by mentally retarded men and women employed at Lambs Farm`s Persimmon Tree Card and Gift Shop. A package of 10 is $6. Imprinting is available, for orders placed before Dec. 4. For a brochure call 362-4636.

The fundraising show and sale at the O`Hare Expo also will include handcrafted gift items by 425 artists, craftsmen and antiques dealers. Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Dec. 3; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 4 and 5; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 6. Admission is $3 ($2 senior citizens, children under 12 free). A portion of sale proceeds will benefit the Lambs` vocational and residential programs for mentally handicapped adults. For more information call 362-6774.
