Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Lake View Branch Library on Belmont Avenue has been unavailable for use for one whole year to date. I am now told that it will not be ready for use until next spring, when it will be beautifully improved and updated.

The facilities of that branch are ”temporarily” at Belmont and Sheffield, about four blocks west of the old site.

What gentrification is going on? Except for the graffiti in the washroom, which I expect will be repeated, and the normal improvement of any building in the city, the library seemed a sturdy place. What possible improvement could take a year and a half to complete?
