Singer Co. said it will make a decision by Dec. 21 regarding an acquisition or merger from someone other than investor Paul Bilzerian, whose $1 billion-plus takeover bid is being opposed by Singer. Bilzerian agreed to extend his offer and suspend pending litigation until then.
