In reference to Jesse Madison`s statement that the next mayor ”has to be black,” is this not a very racist remark? Does he think that Hispanics, Asians and whites are not allowed to qualify for this position?
If a white person had made the same statement, saying that the next mayor ”had to be white,” there would be an uproar from the black community, from civil rights leaders and from the media.
