NFC West

San Francisco (12-2) has clinched at least a wild card. Needs to finish ahead of New Orleans to win division. Saints win tiebreaker because of better division record. 49ers lead in race for home-field advantage. Divisional record is 3-1, with a split against New Orleans. Conference record is 7-1. Schedule: LA Rams.

New Orleans (11-3) has clinched at least a wild card. Wins tiebreaker with San Francisco because of better conference record. Loses tiebreaker with Washington because of conference records. Schedule: Houston.

Los Angeles Rams (6-7) have chance for wild card. Must win both games and finish in three-way tie with Minnesota and St. Louis. Would win tiebreaker because of better conference record. Schedule: Dallas, at San Francisco.

AFC East

Indianapolis (8-6) wins division with a victory. Wins tiebreaker with Miami. Has 5-3 division record, including splits with Miami and New England. Conference record is 8-6, with wins over Cleveland and Houston and split with San Diego. Schedule: Tampa Bay.

Miami (8-6) can only win division by having better record than Indianapolis. If the Dolphins and Colts both win, Miami will gain a wild card if Pittsburgh, Houston and San Diego lose. Conference record is 5-6, with loss to Seattle and win over Pittsburgh. Schedule: New England.

New England (7-7) must win last game. would win tiebreaker with Indianapolis based on better division record. Wins three-way tie with Indianapolis and Miami because of better head-to-head record. Conference record is 7-4, with losses to Denver and Cleveland and wins over Houston and Raiders. Schedule: at Miami next Monday.

AFC Central

Cleveland (9-5) clinches with victory or tie. Loses tiebreaker with Houston because of division records. Conference record is 7-3, with win over New England and losses to San Diego and Indianapolis. Browns would also host first-round playoff game and, if Denver loses, gain home-field throughout playoffs. Schedule: at Pittsburgh Saturday.

Pittsburgh (8-6) can`t win division but is alive for wild card if Seattle, Houston and Miami lose. Schedule: Cleveland.

Houston (8-6) needs to finish in tie with Cleveland. Wins tiebreaker because of better division record. Conference record is 6-4, with wins over Denver and San Diego and losses to New England and Indianapolis. Schedule: Cincinnati.

AFC West

Denver (9-4-1) has clinched at least wild card. Wins division if it beats San Diego or Seattle loses to Kansas City. If Broncos win, they will have home field throughout playoffs.

Seattle (9-5) makes playoffs with victory over Kansas City. Seahawks win division if they win and Denver loses to San Diego.

San Diego (8-6) can win wild card if it beats Denver and if Miami, Houston and Pittsburgh lose.

If NFC playoffs began today

If the playoffs began today, Minnesota would play at New Orleans in the wild-card game. If Minnesota won, the Vikings would play at San Francisco and Washington would play the Bears at Soldier Field. If New Orleans won, the Saints would play the Bears at Soldier Field and Washington would play at San Francisco.
