As a graduating senior and future voter, I am outraged at Gov. Thompson`s cuts of higher education. Thompson has recently cut financial aid by $6.2 million. This legislation has virtually cut all aid to middle-class Illinois college students.
Middle-class families can`t afford the rising costs of education and don`t meet the requirements for financial aid. Wake up, Mr. Thompson, the future of Illinois is at stake.
