I was very disappointed to read the ”editorial” entitled ”O Little Town of Bethlehem.” The Tribune has sunk to new journalistic lows with this piece.
Never in my many years of reading newspapers have I seen such propaganda on an editorial page. Editorials should present reasoned arguments. ”O Little Town of Bethlehem” contributes nothing constructive to the debate surrounding the Arab/Israeli conflict. Instead, it appeals to the emotions while repeating the highly suspect claims of the pro-PLO Palestine Press Service, claims which no self-respecting newspaper would print as fact.
While the leaders of the world grapple with this complicated issue, The Tribune sings a song.
