State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. estimated that its liability in a sex discrimination suit is limited to 25 to 50 women. The company, based in Bloomington, Ill., said payments to some of the eligible women may be as little as $15,000. The company agreed to settle a California suit filed by three women turned down for jobs as agents.
