General Motors Corp. said it will make available a new special warranty of five years or 50,000 miles to cover power steering problems on certain front-wheel-drive cars produced between 1982 and 1985. The company said it will reimburse car owners who paid to clear up the problem and will repair free of charge such problems that come up in the future.
