I wonder how Peter Dykstra (Voice, Feb. 10) thinks our government is supposed to work? Sen. Simon`s job is to vote the way his constituents want him to vote. Regardless of how he feels about abortion, he is obliged to vote according to the ”prevailing voter attitudes.”
Mr. Dykstra, you have effectively increased my ”comfort factor” in Sen. Simon by showing me that the senator takes the voter seriously and doesn`t let his personal feelings cloud his integrity. You can all it hypocrisy, but I call it democracy.
