The pace of growth in production, new orders and order backlogs slowed slightly last month from January, but the Chicago area economy continued its robust growth, a monthly survey of purchasings agents found. The Purchasing Management Association of Chicago said its index of leading economic indicators eased to an unadjusted 66.05 percent in February from 67.3 percent in January. A reading of more than 50 percent indicates expansion.
