Some of the nicest things about watching Cubs baseball via satellite are the shots of Wrigleyville residents in the streets waiting for home runs, the festive seventh-inning stretch featuring the vocal talents of Harry Caray, the characteristic ivy-covered walls behind home plate and the crisp sunlight shining on the players and fans.

Why destroy a winning formula by illuminating the field with harsh, artificial lights? Not only would the false brilliance be ugly, but it would anger the baseball gods.
