I recoiled at the television news pictures of my fellow Americans being dragged and buffeted by police officers because they disagreed with President Reagan`s decision to send troops to Honduras.
Regardless of my personal beliefs, I cannot countenance a free American citizen being dragged to a police van because his or her convictions do not coincide with the government`s.
And what would transpire if the great majority of Americans disagreed with the leaders? The police could not contain us all!
