In his response to your critical editorial, Rep. Henry Hyde expressed most eloquently the case for pardoning Lt. Col. North and Adm. Poindexter. He is a thoughtful conservative whose ideas deserve consideration, not the contempt your editorial expressed. If draft dodgers earned the amnesty President Carter gave them, why not men who fought bravely for their country?
