It reported on a study concerning the relationship between overpopulation, air and water pollution, and loss of forests and the ozone shield. Where was this one-paragraph story? On the bottom of Page 8.
The long stories about war games, kidnaping, assassination, pension rules and Soviet emigration on Page 1 of the same issue will someday prove trivial in comparison, if our environmental crisis continues to worsen.
When will the public learn to pay more attention to world-threatening environmental issues? Maybe when the media does the same.
