Dust off your rendition of ”Skip to My Lu” or learn a few bawdy songs from medieval times. The Dry Gulch and King`s Manor dinner theaters are holding auditions for singing waitresses. The Dry Gulch, 9351 W. Irving Park Rd. in Schiller Park, provides a musical comedy revue with a western/
vaudeville theme, and the King`s Manor, 2122 W. Lawrence Ave., presents a medieval musical comedy revue. While the dinner theaters always are on the lookout for comedians, guitarists and magicians, Monday`s auditions are strictly for singing waitresses; four positions are expected to be filled. Female singers with a character age range of 21 to 30 should prepare two contrasting musical numbers, one up-tempo and one ballad. Bring your music;
accompaniment will be provided. While some previous applicants have sung period music, audition coordinator Rob Maxey suggests, ”The best thing to do is sing the type of material you do best.”
