In the matter of Steve Cokely and his racial remarks, does it strike anyone as odd that very few blacks stepped forward to label them racist?

It`s certainly understandable given human nature that blacks would want to stay ”on top” as long as possible, promoting ”their own,” but with power must also come responsibility. No matter who is mayor of Chicago and what color his advisers, there is an unavoidable duty to defend everyone`s rights. The blacks leading the city are on the road to remaking all the mistakes made under Daley, Bilandic and Byrne, so there is no progress.
