American Telephone & Telegraph Co. filed a letter of protest with the Illinois Department of Central Management Services over the awarding of a $108 million contract to US Sprint and Illinois Bell for a statewide telecommunications network. AT&T charges that proprietary technical information in its bid was mishandled and made available to competitors. AT&T said it will take its complaint to the joint Illinois House and Senate Appropriations Committee.
