Cray Research Inc. said a unit of Martin Marietta Corp., acting as prime contractor for the Air Force, ordered a Cray-2s-2-128 computer system valued at about $17 million. The Minneapolis-based high-tech supplier said the supercomputer will be used in simulating ballistic missile defense.
