Commerce Secretary William Verity will announce agreement on a plan aimed at doubling Japanese imports of American goods in three years, officials in Tokyo said. The ”Export Now” campaign is scheduled to be announced Saturday in Washington after Verity meets with Hajime Tamura, Japanese trade and industry minister. The plan calls for creating a list of U.S.-made products to be heavily promoted in Japan.
