In the Home guide of The Tribune of June 11, Jack Sorenson, president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, is quoted, ”New home purchasers should not expect a home to be just perfect when they move into it.”
Why not? Should someone paying today`s exorbitant prices for a new home expect leaky roofs, doors that don`t fit, bulging walls, tiles missing, protruding nails, dead wall switches and all the rest?
Imagine the head gaffer making a comment like that. Now consider what the attitude of the worker on the job must be.
