When illegal drugs are seized and this is reported in the newspaper, a dollar ”street value” is placed on the contraband. I don`t think this is a good idea. Doesn`t this reinforce the idea of the lucrativeness of the illegal drug trade?
If ”street value” must be mentioned, it should be in the context of wasted lives and death.
