Your columnist, Clarence Page, writes like a racist.
He labeled American industry racist because it has paid Doug Williams, the Redskins` quarterback, only $127,500 for product endorsements during the past six months.
Mr. Page is well aware industry would pay Williams-or anyone else-millions if he could increase sales sufficiently (a la Michael Jordan and Bill Cosby).
But Mr. Page wants Doug Williams employed not because his endorsements were productive but because he`s black.
