Baird & Warner`s residential sales group set a one-month sales record in June for the fourth consecutive month. According to Robert G. Walters, senior vice president and general manager of the company`s residential sales group, volume of $126 million on 804 resale-home transactions was recorded.
The monthly figures represent an increase of 35 percent in dollar volume over June, 1987, and a 5 percent increase in participations, Walters said.
”This active market proves that buyers are ready and willing to make deals despite slightly higher mortgage interest rates. We`re well on our way to another banner year.”
For the first six months of 1988, Baird & Warner reported sales volume of $661 million on 4,605 transactions, representing a 9 percent increase in volume and a 4 percent dip in production over last year`s figures.
