I cannot swallow the last paragraph of Rev. John L. Willett`s letter of Aug. 1 which says, ”Thank God for the gay community.”
Without the gay community, we wouldn`t have the AIDS epidemic in the first place!
Of the 84 new AIDS cases in July, 67 were homosexual or bisexual men, and only 2 were heterosexual men. This pattern is repeated month after month, with the difference being taken up by drug users.
Let`s stop trying to frighten the heterosexual community. It is the homosexual, bisexual and drug-using people who are spreading the AIDS disease.
