I`m hoping that you won`t have room to publish this letter because you will have received so many angry responses to Jon Margolis` article
”Conservative choice may prove too safe.”
I find it appalling and embarrassing to The Tribune that in the lead paragraph, Margolis can make as mindless a comment as ”(Quayle is) handsome enough to appeal to women.” I, for one, do not base my vote on the appearance of the candidates, and I am sure I am not alone.
It`s bad enough that this idiotic concept is bouncing around in so many empty heads; please do not contribute to publishing this sort of stereotypical inanity in a ”newspaper”!
