You did a beautiful job of writing of San Diego and environs (June 26)
but there was one error for which you should apologize.
You referred to Pacific Beach as an ”overpriced, seedy beachfront community.” You probably drove from the seedy part of downtown and up Mission Boulevard to La Jolla. You would pass a large section between Mission and the ocean with beach cottages and many small stores that handle bathing suits and beach equipment.
The rest of Pacific Beach-a coastal community but not on the beach-is entirely different. It is made up of beautiful foliage, canyons and luxurious apartments and condos and homes ranging into hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Editor`s note: No slight of Pacific Beach was intended; the area called
”seedy” was the Mission Beach stretch in San Diego.
