Mass for Ernest L. Kitzinger, 63, a lumber manager in a home service center, was said Monday in Santa Maria Del Popolo Catholic Church, 116 N. Lake St., Mundelein. Mr. Kitzinger, of Mundelein, died Friday in Condell Memorial Hospital, Libertyville. He was lumber manager at Crafty Beaver Home Centers in Skokie. Previously, he was a carpenter and contractor. During World War II, he was in the U.S. Army and was captured during the Anzio Beach assault. He was a prisoner of war for a year. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; 4 sons, Lawrence J., Leonard E., Michael T. and Thomas E.; 10 grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
