What do Vice President Bush and Gov. Dukakis intend doing about the nine Chicagoans slain or wonded at Cabrini-Green and the Halsted-Armitage neighborhood over the Labor Day weekend?
Such disturbances are nonexistent at Gov. Dukakis` mansion and the Vice President`s Texas and Maine dwellings. But such eruptions are only a few blocks from my hotel.
The Vice President and the governor wouldn`t dream of residing where bullets whiz by. The candidates whiz by these high-risk areas only when their campaigns make it expedient and they may be benefit.
