Much has been made recently of the crimes of Willie Horton. We should be reminded that another onerous is the crime committed, most recently, by Sundstrand. The crime represents a crime against every man, woman and child in the U.S., if only at 50 cents a head.

Who is going to jail here? This sort of thing will go on until our government provides a deterrent. We have been spending all kinds of money to deter the Russians. Now we should deter the white-collar crimes that have made our defense efforts so damned expensive.

The man in charge of the fraud and overcharging should get a good stiff term in the pokey (10 years sounds pretty good). His chief executive officer should be permitted to accompany him for a similar spell. All others aware of the dirty deal should form a parade right behind and be accompanied by their auditing firm, which must surely have been aware of the deal.

A trial and sentence to a maximum security prison would force a little honesty into our system of government.
