Now that Thanksgiving is over, it`s time to think about Christmas. The Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce invites one and all to celebrate the Yuletide season by attending the 23d annual Christmas Walk on Friday. Balsam wreaths, strings of light and other gaily colored decorations will add some seasonal charm to the business district. Approximately 50 merchants are participating this year. In addition, the village`s financial institutions and real estate offices will be serving complimentary punch and cookies to shoppers. Hinsdale Central High School`s Madrigal Singers, under the direction of Gary Wilhelm, and a troop of local Girl Scouts provide the evening`s musical entertainment with some timeless, old-fashioned Christmas carols. The highlight of the evening is the appearance of Santa Claus, who will arrive not by the traditional sleigh but by a modern fire engine. Santa will be granting wishes beginning at 7 p.m. at Grant Square.
