Having completed its review of a proposal for Main Street Center, a downtown redevelopment plan by the Barrington HUB Committee, the Barrington Village Board will discuss next week taking the next step-seeking a developer for the $13.8 million makeover of the central business district.
The trustees are to meet at 8 p.m. Monday in the Village Board room of the Barrington Historical Society, 111 W. Station St. The HUB study, reviewed Monday night, proposed a 50,000-square-foot supermarket, 30,000 square feet of shops, 20,000 square feet of offices and a parking deck on 14 acres south of Main Street and east of the Chicago & North Western commuter station.
