Regarding the Tribune editorial stating that barring Arafat was a mistake, I dare to differ.

Though ”bloody hands” should not in themselves keep a diplomat from entering the U.S., as the PLO leader, Arafat`s hands are responsible for the murder and attempted murder of U.S. citizens.

If Arafat had been permitted to speak before the General Assembly in New York City, I maintain that he should have been detained and tried for his complicity in these crimes, including the recent attempted murder of the U.S. secretary of state, no less!
