This is in response to the letter on ”women`s rights” by Mary Servatius (Jan. 19).
A woman has ”the right” to choose to have sex or not. If the woman choses to engage in sex, she has ”the right” to choose if she wants to have children.
If she chooses to engage in sex and not have children, then she has to accept responsibility for preventing conception. A woman does not have ”the right” to use abortion as a form of birth control.
I, too, am hoping that the U.S. Supreme Court will see this issue for what it really is. A woman should accept responsibility for her actions/
choices and not look to the government for a ”quick-fix” excuse. I hope they love babies/children so that we will have more women to love.
