A cartoon appearing in your edition of Jan. 29, depicting Shamir quoting the New Testament (”Let he who is without sin, etc. . . . ”) and at the same time ordering the use of rubber bullets to quell the Arabian uprising, was both tasteless and offensive, and discloses an editorial bias unworthy of a newspaper of your stature.

On the other hand, The Tribune never printed any cartoon depicting the delight of the attack by Palestinian terrorists using fire bombs to destroy a passenger bus recently, which resulted, among other things, in the incinerating death of a young Israeli mother and her three children.

Your choice of cartoons in which Israel is involved casts a disturbing doubt on your editorial judgment.
