I voted for Richard M. Daley when he campaigned for and won the office of state`s attorney. I feel that Mr. Daley betrayed me. He campaigned to win the office of state`s attorney, then upon winning it, decided to campaign for the office of mayor.
Our acting mayor, Eugene Sawyer, has accomplished a lot in the short time since the death of Mayor Harold Washington. He has continued the reform that Mayor Washington started. Chicago should be proud of the soft-spoken gentleman, Eugene Sawyer. He is intelligent, knowledgeable and well qualified for the job.
