The Tribune`s endorsement of Richard M. Daley for mayor is no surprise. Your coverage of the campaign surely telegraphed the endorsement. However, your characterization of Edward Vrdolyak`s campaign as ”silly” is unfair and, well, silly. Voters should ignore your endorsement, assess the three candidates, and elect Timothy Evans to complete the two-year term.
