Victor A. Markiewicz, 80, a retired funeral director, died Sunday morning in his Lemont home. Mr. Markiewicz was a licensed funeral director for more than 50 years. He owned and operated Markiewicz Funeral Home in Lemont until his retirement in 1975. Mr. Markiewicz was a trustee of the Village of Lemont from 1939 to 1943. He was a member and a 50-year licensee with the Illinois and National Funeral Directors Asssociation. Survivors include his wife, Sally; a daughter, Beverly Marzec; a son, Victor R.; five grandchildren; and two sisters. Mass for Mr. Markiewicz will be said at 10 a.m.Thursday in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 608 Sobieski St., Lemont.
