In Victor Olliver`s Jan. 7 interview with Christie Hefner, she quips,
”But there is no reason to think that porn is harmful. I would defend it, though I`m not a consumer.”
There are many reasons to believe that porn is very harmful to both the consumer and those exploited in its creation. The U.S. Attorney General`s Commission on Pornography certainly concluded in its final report that pornography is harmful.
Ted Bundy, prior to his execution for murder, clearly implicated pornography as a root cause.
Perhaps Ms. Hefner`s thinking is somewhat biased by the money pornography generates for Playboy.
