A recent article in The Tribune was headlined ”African-Americans find unity in Kwanzaa fest.”
What I would like to know is why racial unity among blacks is regarded as such a positive and praiseworthy thing. If European-Americans were to begin an annual celebration to encourage white racial unity, would it be considered positive and healthy?
People who say there`s a double standard on race in this society certainly are right.
