A pox on your headline writer for the head on a report ”Australia hunts looters after quake.” It was an affront to anyone who read the article itself. Only one line out of a 66-line story mentioned the word looting, and that was just a general statement that the army had been sent in to stop looting.
The bulk of the article dealt with the search for victims and the devastation wrought by Australia`s first fatal earthquake. It is this sort of misleading headline that lends credence to the term ”yellow journalism.” I would think the person who wrote the story would be as incensed as I was to read the way it was trashed by the misleading and exploitative headline.
