Occupation: Actress.
Birthday: Sept. 14, 1964.
Birthplace: Alexandria, La.
Current home: West Hollywood, Calif.
Marital status: Married since July 15 to Robert Nottingham.
Children: None.
Car: A brown 1985 Plymouth Turismo.
Working on: Playing Corky Sherwood on ”Murphy Brown,” Monday nights on CBS-TV.
The last good movie I saw was: ”The Bear.”
I try to watch: ”Roseanne,” ”thirtysomething,” ”The Wonder Years”
and ”Cheers.”
The book I`ve been recommending lately is: I`m too busy reading scripts to read books.
Favorite pigout food: Soul food. I could eat a whole half of my mother`s fried chicken. I start with the thigh, then progress to the back and then the wing. And I love mustard greens, cornbread, blackeye peas-all of it.
Favorite performer: Jimmy Stewart, especially in ”It Happened One Night.”
Personal hero: I idolized Elvis Presley. Don`t ask me why, I just did. I loved his music, and I used to gaze at his album covers. When his movies were on TV, I was in heaven. I would die for Elvis Presley.
I`m better than anyone else when it comes to: Sticking my foot in my mouth.
I`d give anything to meet: Jimmy Stewart. I`d love to ask him if he`d make a cameo appearance on my show as my grandfather.
A really great evening to me is: Getting into bed with clean sheets, getting all cozy with my husband, cuddling and watching old musicals.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Stuck up. Partly it was because I was shy, partly I couldn`t stand the cliques and partly I was too busy for much of a social life. I used to go to New Orleans on weekends to take modeling lessons.
When people first meet me, they think I`m: It depends on how busy I am. If I`m not too busy, they think I`m nice. If I am busy, they think I`m spacey. Three words that best describe me: Determined, independent and giving.
